All Excel documents can be saved as what is called a .csv file. That stands for ‘comma separated values’, but you dont need to worry about that. It’s just a standard format used to import or export data between tools.
To save your Excel spreadsheet in the .csv format
  • open your Excel file
  • click File Save As.
  • choose .csv from the dropdown menu just beneath the box that lets you rename the document.

Bonus Tip – You can save any Word document as a PDF by following these instructions and choosing ‘Save as PDF’ in Word.
